New and Updated GIS Tutorials

The Geospatial Centre has created new GIS tutorials:


Google Earth II: Create a tour with Google Earth: Create a placemark by writing a simple Keyhole Markup Language (KML) code, overlay an image, create and record a tour and share the KML files and tour with others.

On-line Interactive Mapping Made Easy: Learn to create an online interactive
map without needing to be a GIS expert, or needing any software to install.
 


 

Making a choropleth map with Google Fusion Tables: Choropleth map is a thematic map based on predefined aerial units. Google Fusion Tables makes it easy to create an online interactive choropleth map and share it with others.

The Geospatial Centre has updated the following GIS tutorials:


BatchGeo: Geocode address and postal codes, then display each point location as a marker in Google Earth or Google Map.

ArcGIS.com: Add a CSV, TXT and shapefiles into ArcGIS.com, edit their layer properties and create and share an interactive map.
